## What it's known for

West Loop brewpub opened in 2016 by Rick Bayless (who left in 2020; Manny Valdes runs it), pairing house-brewed Mexican-inspired cervezas, from Mexican-style lagers to barrel-aged specialities, with wood-fired tacos, Cali burritos and tlayudas. Open 11:30am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 11:30am to midnight Friday and Saturday (official site; some listings show it closed on Mondays).

On Restaurant Row, three minutes' walk from Haymarket. The Cruz Blanca beer brand that appears in shops is now made by Molson Coors in Milwaukee (a 2024 sale, per a neighbourhood guide); the brewpub stayed with its local owner.

Check opening hours with the venue before you go: they change, especially early in the week.
