    4460 W 29th Ave, Denver, CO 80212 · **Bus 32 back towards downtown from W 32nd Ave; Sloan's Lake is a short walk south**

Denver's home of English-style real ale (since 2012), with more cask-conditioned, hand-pulled beers than anywhere else in the city (try Chin Wag ESB or Gilpin Black Gold porter), plus a few lagers, quick pizzas and a pub-like, dimly lit bar. Open noon to 9pm Monday to Wednesday, noon to 10pm Thursday and Friday, 10am to 10pm Saturday, 10am to 9pm Sunday.

    [Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Hogshead%20Brewery%2C%204460%20W%2029th%20Ave%2C%20Denver%2C%20CO%2080212)

Getting there: start beside Empower Field at Mile High (Broncos stadium) in Jefferson Park, walk north into Highland, then west along the W 32nd Ave corridor to West Highland.

This is the most spread-out route: Little Machine to Zuni Street (about 1.9 km) and Zuni Street to Cerebral (about 2.3 km) are long, residential walks. Bus 32 along W 32nd Ave shortens the middle leg.

Avoid Broncos home-game days unless you want the crowds; parking and Little Machine both fill up.

Bolt-on: Denver Beer Co. on Platte Street (Route 2) is about 15 minutes' walk from Zuni Street.

Hogshead's cask ales are served cooler than room temperature but warmer and less fizzy than most US beer; ask for a taster if it's new to you.

**Alcohol-free and pacing:** ask at the bar for alcohol-free beers and soft drinks, and remember a half is always fine. Eat along the way, drink water between stops, and skip a stop whenever you like. [More tips](https://thecraftbeercrawl.com/responsible-drinking/).
