Start at Musa da Bica at 5pm, when it and Outro Lado open; Crafty Corner (from 11:30am) and Canil (from 1pm) are open all afternoon if you want an earlier start in reverse. Finish in Graça, which pours until 11pm (1am on Friday and Saturday). Around 30 taps mix a dozen or so house beers with Portuguese and international guests, and there's a pub-style menu of petiscos and burgers. Rock on the stereo, sport on the screens. Open 1pm to 1am Monday to Thursday, 1pm to 2am Friday and Saturday, and 1pm to midnight Sunday. Ten taps pour the house range, led by the much-praised Urraca Vendaval IPA, plus experimental batches and guests, with simple bar food and a terrace looking back over the city. Open daily from 4pm, until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 1am Friday and Saturday (third-party listings; the brewery's site just says it's open every day). The route crosses the Baixa grid, slips behind the Casa dos Bicos to Outro Lado and the Sé, then climbs into Graça. Musa da Bica to Canil (about 1.3 km) is flat, along the Rua do Arsenal or through Praça do Comércio. Crafty Corner to Graça (about 1.3 km) is the hard leg: steep lanes past the castle. Tram 28 from Sé to Graça, or a taxi, is an easy shortcut. Outro Lado and Crafty Corner are about 250 metres apart, so they pair well even if you skip the rest. Lisbon's pavements are polished limestone and very slippery when wet; wear shoes with grip. **Alcohol-free and pacing:** ask at the bar for alcohol-free beers and soft drinks, and remember a half is always fine.
