What it's known for
One of England's very few Grade I-listed pubs: an opulent 1900 gin palace opposite the Philharmonic Hall, with mosaics, carved mahogany, rooms named after composers and the famous marble gents. Nicholson's real ales and pub food. Open Monday to Thursday 10am–11pm, Friday and Saturday 10am–midnight, Sunday 10am–10:30pm.
A pub-chain beer range rather than a specialist one; come for the building.
