Westport Craft Beer Crawl
Westport has no brewery taproom in town and no dedicated craft beer bar, so this route is honest about that. Its local brewery, Mescan, brews Belgian-style ales on a farm at the foot of Croagh Patrick, about 8 km out, and its bottles turn up in town bars. What Westport does brilliantly is traditional pubs: this short walk from the Octagon up Bridge Street links the craft-friendly Cobblers Bar with Matt Molloy's, The Porter House (Ireland's Traditional Bar of the Year 2025) and The Old Grainstore (All-Ireland Whiskey Bar of the Year 2025). All were checked as open in October 2026.
