Galopins to BBP Canal is the first long leg (about 1.4 km) across the 10th to Canal Saint-Martin. BBP to Liquiderie is about 1 km up to Belleville.

La Dérive to Paname is the second long leg (about 2 km) north along the canal and the Bassin de la Villette. Métro line 2 from Colonel Fabien to Jaurès cuts it short.

Paname and L'Atalante sit about 0.5 km apart on opposite sides of the canal de l'Ourcq. Both have waterside terraces, which are busiest on warm evenings.

La Dérive opened in May 2026 and its hours are still settling. Check its Instagram before you go.

For an earlier warm-up, Hoppy Corner (rue Saint-Sauveur, 2nd) and The Frog & Rosbif brewpub (116 rue Saint-Denis, 2nd) are both about 0.6 km from Galopins.

Alcohol-free and pacing: ask at the bar for alcohol-free beers and soft drinks, and remember a half is always fine. Eat along the way, drink water between stops, and skip a stop whenever you like. More tips.
