Best time: Friday from 3pm is best: Nordvest Ølbar is closed on Sunday and Monday and opens at 5pm Tuesday to Thursday and on Saturday. Opening hours change, so check each venue before you set off.

   Mikkeller & Friends

   Stefansgade 35, 2200 København N

   Mikkeller's second Copenhagen bar, a basement on Stefansgade with 40 taps given over to beer from Mikkeller and the brewers it admires, plus 200-plus bottles. Open from 2pm Monday to Thursday (to 11pm) and from noon Friday to Sunday (to 1am Friday and Saturday, 10pm Sunday).

   Gamma NV

   Hejrevej 6B, 2400 København NV

   The Nordvest bar of Herlev's Gamma Brewing, opened in December 2024 near Nørrebro station. Around 25 taps of fresh Gamma beer plus a few guests, a small bottle shop and a rotating kitchen partner. Open from 3pm Monday to Thursday (to midnight) and from noon Friday to Sunday (to 2am Friday and Saturday).

   Flying Couch

   Bygmestervej 6, 2400 København NV

   Flying Couch Brewing's own bar and bakery in Nordvest, pouring the brewery's mash-up of classic European styles and more experimental American-style beers. Open daily until late (to midnight Monday to Thursday, 2am Friday, 1am Saturday, 11pm Sunday).

   Nordvest Ølbar

   Sporemagervej 2, 2400 København NV

   A cosy neighbourhood bar among the apartment blocks of Nordvest, with 10 taps from small local breweries, its own imports from England and around 30 bottles and cans. Open Tuesday to Saturday: 5pm to midnight Tuesday to Thursday, 3pm to 2am Friday, 5pm to 2am Saturday.

Bonus route: this one sits outside the centre. Start at Mikkeller & Friends, about 15 minutes' walk from BRUS at the end of Route 2, or take the metro (M3) to Nørrebros Runddel. The route finishes about 10 minutes' walk from Nørrebro station (metro M3 and S-train) for the trip back.

Mikkeller & Friends to Gamma NV (about 1.2 km) is the longest leg: north-west along Nørrebrogade towards Nørrebro station, then into Hejrevej.

Flying Couch and Nordvest Ølbar are about two minutes apart.
