Getting there: start in LoHi on Platte Street, cross the South Platte and the rail yards on the Millennium Bridge to Union Station, then work through LoDo past Coors Field into Five Points.

Denver Beer Co. to Wynkoop is about 1.2 km and Woods Boss to Spangalang about 1 km; the rest are short hops.

On Rockies game days (April to September) Wynkoop and the Ballpark blocks are packed; go early or pick a non-game day.

Five Points is the historic heart of Black Denver and its jazz scene; Welton Street holds First Friday events with live music.

Downtown's office districts are quiet at night; stick to busy streets after dark and use a ride-share for the last leg if you prefer.

Alcohol-free and pacing: ask at the bar for alcohol-free beers and soft drinks, and remember a half is always fine. Eat along the way, drink water between stops, and skip a stop whenever you like. More tips.
