What it's known for
Grade II-listed 1888 pub with a famously sloping mosaic floor and a tiled, barrel-vaulted ceiling, and the original home of Marble Brewery (now brewing in Salford). Nine handpulls of brewery-fresh cask, eight keg lines, artisan cider, a hidden beer garden and a well-regarded kitchen, including Sunday roasts. Open Monday and Wednesday noon–10pm, Thursday and Friday noon–11pm, Saturday 11am–11pm, Sunday 11am–9pm (last orders).
Closed Tuesday. Book for Sunday roasts. A developer has plans for a 17-storey block next door (opposed by the pub in October 2026), but the pub is trading as normal.
Check opening hours with the venue before you go: they change, especially early in the week.
