Vinohrady, Vršovice & Nusle

Best time: Any evening from about 5pm (6pm to be safe for Bad Flash Krymská). Eat at Vinohradský pivovar first: it is the only stop open before 3pm. On Sundays Zlý časy opens at 5pm and closes at 11:30pm. Opening hours change, so check each venue before you set off.

   Vinohradský pivovar

   Korunní 2506/106, 101 00 Praha 10 – Vinohrady

   Brewpub founded in 2014 with a 25-hectolitre copper brewhouse modelled on a 1912 kettle. Lagers include Káranská 9, Vinohradská 11 and 12, Jantarová 13 and Black Panda, with ales such as Seaman (gose), Liberator APA and Hazy Galaxy, and non-alcoholic options. Large restaurant and music hall. Open Monday to Saturday 11am–midnight and Sunday 11am–10pm.

   BeerGeek Bar

   Vinohradská 62, 130 00 Praha 3 – Vinohrady

   Bar with 32 taps of Czech and international craft beer and no mainstream lagers, from the team behind the Pivotéka bottle shop round the corner (Slavíkova 10, open Monday to Saturday 11am–9pm, Sunday 3pm–9pm). Open daily 3pm–2am.

   Lya Beer Café

   Krymská 56/39, 101 00 Praha 10 – Vršovice

   Independent bar and bottle shop with a strong sour and lambic list, rotating craft taps, coffee and a non-smoking garden. Open Monday 4pm–10pm, Tuesday to Thursday 4pm–11pm, Friday and Saturday 4pm–midnight and Sunday 4pm–11pm.

   Bad Flash Bar Krymská

   Krymská 126/2, 101 00 Praha 10 – Vršovice

   The original Bad Flash bar (opened 2015) on Vršovice's bar street, with 12 taps and more than 450 bottles. Opens every evening; see the note for hours.

   Zlý časy

   Čestmírova 390/5, 140 00 Praha 4 – Nusle

   Prague's pioneering craft beer pub (opened 2006), with 48 taps of Czech and foreign beer over several levels and a kitchen. Open Monday to Friday 3pm–2am, Saturday 5pm–2am and Sunday 5pm–11:30pm; the kitchen runs to 9:30pm.

Getting there: start on Korunní, reached by tram 10 or 16. The route finishes in Nusle, about 7 minutes from Metro C Pražského povstání.

Bad Flash Krymská to Zlý časy (about 1.2 km) is the longest leg, downhill through Vršovice into Nusle. Tram from Krymská towards Nusle cuts it short.

Lya Beer Café and Bad Flash Krymská are about 340 m apart on Krymská, Vršovice's bar street, which has plenty of other bars if you want to linger.
