The stops

  1. Browers Beato

Travessa do Grilo 1, 1950-145 Lisboa · Bus 728 from Praça do Comércio or Cais do Sodré, Beato stops; or a short taxi ride

Brewery and cervejaria in the former power station of the Manutenção Militar, now the Beato Innovation District. Opened in November 2024 by the Super Bock Group's Browers craft brand, it has a 30-metre bar designed with Eduardo Souto de Moura, brewing kit in full view and up to 24 taps of house and guest beers, with a menu of Portuguese cervejaria classics. Open noon to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and noon to midnight Friday and Saturday.

  2. Fermentage

Rua Capitão Leitão 1B, 1950-049 Lisboa

Brewpub that opened in July 2023 in the old Lince taproom and has become a beer-geek favourite: 14 taps with a lean towards sours and wild fermentation, a Czech-style side-pour pilsner, fermented-dough pizzas, board games, arcade machines and quiz nights. Open 3pm to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 3pm to 1am Friday and Saturday.

  3. Dois Corvos

Rua Capitão Leitão 94, 1950-052 Lisboa

The taproom that started Lisbon's 'Beer District': Scott Steffens and Susana Cascais opened Marvila's first brewery here in 2015. Seventeen taps pour the freshest Dois Corvos beer, from hazy IPAs to barrel-aged stouts from a 300-barrel ageing programme, with a full kitchen and a regular calendar of music and events. Open 3pm to 11pm Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday, and 3pm to 1am Friday and Saturday. Closed Monday.

  4. Musa de Marvila

Rua do Vale Formoso 9, 1950-277 Lisboa · Marvila station (suburban trains) is about 10 min walk

Musa's brewery bar, in the former Bolina brewery since 2022: a big industrial room on two levels with a terrace, the house beers fresh from the tanks, a kitchen (tostas, bifanas and petiscos), gigs and DJ sets. Musa turned ten in May 2026. Open 5pm to midnight Tuesday to Thursday, 5pm to 3am Friday, 1pm to 3am Saturday and 1pm to midnight Sunday. Closed Monday.

  5. Fábrica Oitava Colina

Avenida Infante D. Henrique 334, Armazém 3, 1800-224 Lisboa · Cabo Ruivo metro (red line)

Oitava Colina's production brewery at Cabo Ruivo, where it moved from Graça in 2021. The taproom at the door has ten taps, pizza and a terrace, and new beers usually appear here before they reach the Graça bar. Open Thursday to Saturday evenings only, roughly 5pm or 6pm to 11pm.

Getting there: bus 728 runs along the riverside avenue from Praça do Comércio to Beato and Marvila in about 20 minutes. Browers is inside the Beato Innovation District (enter from Travessa do Grilo).

Fermentage and Dois Corvos are two minutes apart on Rua Capitão Leitão, and Musa is about 1 km north. Musa to Fábrica Oitava Colina (about 2.3 km along the Avenida Infante D. Henrique) is the longest leg and not a pretty walk; take a taxi, or bus 728 north, after dark.

Marvila is a post-industrial district: quiet streets and empty warehouses between the bars, which can feel deserted early in the week. Locals say it's safe, but stick to the main streets at night.

The Lisbon Beer Department's free Oktober Festa takes over these breweries for a day each October; check @lisbonbeerdept for the date.

Alcohol-free and pacing: ask at the bar for alcohol-free beers and soft drinks, and remember a half is always fine. Eat along the way, drink water between stops, and skip a stop whenever you like. More tips.
