Guest rating 9.2/10 (2,116 reviews)
Best time: Works any day. On Saturday and Sunday start at Other Half Domino Park when it opens at 11am; on weekdays start mid-afternoon and reach Barcade after it opens at 4pm. TALEA closes at 9pm Monday to Wednesday and 10pm Thursday to Saturday, so get there by about 8pm. Finish at Tørst or Threes Greenpoint, which pour until midnight (Tørst until 1am Friday and Saturday). Opening hours change, so check each venue before you set off.
34 River Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249 · Marcy Av (J/M/Z) or Bedford Av (L), 12–15 min walk; NYC Ferry South Williamsburg
Other Half's Williamsburg taproom, across the street from Domino Park and the East River, pouring the brewery's famous hazy IPAs (Green City, Broccoli and the 'All ___ Everything' series), lagers and barrel-aged stouts, plus draft cocktails and wine. There's no kitchen, but you can bring food in (Roberta's pizza is down the block), and leashed dogs are welcome. Open noon to 10pm Monday to Thursday, noon to 11pm Friday, 11am to 11pm Saturday and 11am to 9pm Sunday.
388 Union Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211 · Metropolitan Av/Lorimer St (L/G)
The original arcade bar, opened in October 2004 in a former industrial building: a long list of American craft beer on draft alongside rows of 1980s arcade cabinets and pinball machines that still take quarter tokens. It hosted many of the city's early tap takeovers and is still a beer bar first. Open 4pm to 2am Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 4am Friday, noon to 4am Saturday and noon to 2am Sunday.
87 Richardson Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211
Headquarters and brewery of TALEA, New York's first woman-founded brewery (Tara Hankinson and LeAnn Darland, 2020), known for bright, approachable beers, fruited sours and hazy IPAs. The taproom has a courtyard, Detroit-style sourdough pizza, pretzels and salads, and serves coffee in the mornings. Open 10am to 9pm Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 10pm Thursday to Saturday and 11am to 9pm Sunday.
615 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11222 · Nassau Av (G)
Greenpoint's serious beer bar, opened in 2013 by Evil Twin founder Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø and still one of the best lists in the city: 21 rotating draft lines from top breweries worldwide (the September 2026 list had four Hill Farmstead beers) and more than 200 bottles and cans, in a sleek, Scandinavian-style room with a full bar menu. Open 3pm to midnight Monday to Thursday, noon to 1am Friday and Saturday and noon to midnight Sunday.
113 Franklin Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222 · Greenpoint Av (G), about 10 min; NYC Ferry Greenpoint
The smaller, cosier North Brooklyn outpost of Gowanus brewery Threes, known for crisp lagers and hoppy ales: a marble-topped main bar under stained-glass transoms, a full food menu from Grand Army, and a bottle shop for cans to go. Open 4pm to midnight Monday to Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 11pm Sunday.
Getting there: the L train to Bedford Av is one stop from 1 Av in Manhattan. The route heads inland from the Domino Park waterfront to Barcade, then north past McCarren Park into Greenpoint.
Other Half Domino Park to Barcade (about 1.8 km) is the longest leg, through South Williamsburg; the B62 bus along Bedford Avenue shortens it.
TALEA and Tørst are about 750 m apart either side of McCarren Park, so they pair well on their own.
Brooklyn Brewery's new home at 1 Wythe Avenue is a few minutes from Other Half Domino Park, but it hadn't opened as of mid-October 2026. Check before you go and add it as a sixth stop once it's open.
Drinking alcohol on New York City streets and in parks is illegal, so finish your beer inside before moving on.
