What it's known for
Headquarters and brewery of TALEA, New York's first woman-founded brewery (Tara Hankinson and LeAnn Darland, 2020), known for bright, approachable beers, fruited sours and hazy IPAs. The taproom has a courtyard, Detroit-style sourdough pizza, pretzels and salads, and serves coffee in the mornings. Open 10am to 9pm Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 10pm Thursday to Saturday and 11am to 9pm Sunday.
A short walk from McCarren Park; Lorimer St/Metropolitan Av (L/G) or Nassau Av (G). It closes at 9pm early in the week, so don't leave it too late. TALEA also runs taprooms in Cobble Hill, the West Village (Route 4), Bryant Park, the Penn District and the Upper West Side.
Check opening hours with the venue before you go: they change, especially early in the week.
