What it's known for
Mike Hess opened in 2010 as San Diego's first 'nanobrewery' and moved into this 3,000 sq ft production brewery in 2013. You cross a sky bridge over the brewhouse floor to reach the tasting room, which pours IPAs, an American lager, a Kölsch, an amber and Freeflow hard seltzers. Open daily, noon to 10pm (third-party listing, Sept 2026).
One block east of 30th Street, just south of University Avenue. Food trucks park outside; dogs and families welcome.
Check opening hours with the venue before you go: they change, especially early in the week.
